Call to Order 6:14pm
President:
- Welcome to new Board members
- Goal is to put on as many car-related events that attract the members in our region
- Club Awards were not given out in 2023
- Propose awarding retroactively for 2023 throughout 2024 - nominations beginning in the next board meeting
- Will return to traditional year-end awards for 2024
- Presented President’s budget, vote to approve: APPROVED
Vice President:
- Reviewed process for board members to procure insurance for club events
Secretary:
- Vote to approve Nov 2023 minutes: APPROVED
Treasurer:
- Discussion of 2023 Year-End financials
- Goal is to maintain ~$300k in the bank to support cash flow needed for event planning
Membership Director:
- Jan 2024 member counts
- PCA GGR
- 3,836 total (2,657 primary members, 1,176 co-members, 3 honorary)
- 134 PCA Juniors, 99 renewals, 51 dropped, 48 new members
- PCA National: 160,674 active members (105,482 primary & 55,192 co-members)
- PCA GGR
- Next membership event: Feb-Mar 2024
- Presented Membership Budget, vote to approve: APPROVED
- Vote to accept new members: APPROVED
Social Director:
- Planning 11 Cars & Coffee events in 2024, continuing the rotation of locations to accommodate members all around the Bay
Webmaster:
- Assisting with transition of Google accounts to new board members
- Open to a member with WordPress expertise volunteering to help improve our site
Autocross Director:
- Finding venues in the region is challenging, so have created a community with other Autocross clubs to coordinate locations & dates
- Planing 9 events in 2024 (monthly Mar-Nov) spread across different venues (Sonoma Raceway, Laguna Seca, Salinas Airport, Crows Landing)
- Presented Autocross budget, vote to approve: APPROVED
Track Director:
- Want to better support intermediate & advanced drivers through (voluntary) additional instruction, and improve our instructor core so they are equipped to instruct those drivers
- Will market to other cars clubs & outlying regions to increase car counts
- Presented Track budget, vote to approve: APPROVED
Nugget Editor:
- Submission deadline for this month’s newsletter is Jan 14
Motoring Director:
- Will present budget in next board meeting
