Our New Membership Director, Wen Shen!

Happy new year, my fellow GGR members! Welcome to 2023, looking forward to another exciting year ahead of us!

First, thank you all for your trust in me as your membership director.  I am so excited to take on this new role!  Captain Mike has done such a wonderful job over the past 11 years for GGR, and I have big shoes to fill. I welcome all your support and suggestions as we continue to build and strengthen our community together! 

Some of you may know me from prior motoring fun runs, AX, and social events.  I truly cherish the connections I’ve made, as well as the passion and enthusiasm I feel from other members during every event.  I have met so many great people and made lifelong friendships along the way.  I am so proud and honored to be a part of this community that now feels like family.  As a way to give back to the community, I am passionate about this role and will do my best to reach out to more and more members.  As we all know, it’s not just the cars, it’s the people that make this community so special!

To know more about me, you must also meet my sweet boy that I love dearly. His name is Gilbert (I THINK our motoring director Gilbert Bouzeid might be named after my cat. Let me know your thoughts! 😊). Here is Gilbert the cat saying hi.

Fun facts

Speaking of our community, here are some exciting fun facts! As of Dec. 2022, PCA officially reached 100,000 primary members! What a great way to kick off the new year. At the same time, our GGR region is growing with even more members joining us!

Also, GREAT news from one of the members! I was honored to be invited to our members Thomas Wan and Michelle Shi’s wedding in December. The best part is that they met during the Mammoth High Alpine Porsche Tour summer 2021!  What a great love story in the GGR family! Congratulations Thomas and Michelle, from me and everyone in the community! (Maybe everyone in the club will be invited for the next celebration. Joking…)
