Call to Order:
Meeting was called to order at 6:06pm.

Past Events:
Volunteer appreciation dinner at Chef Chu’s, approximately 60 ppl attended, lots of donations for Toys for Tots.
Directors’ Reports:
The Director’s reports are each of the board members below:
President:
- Welcome to Melinda Lin, incoming GGR Secretary.
- Per Zone 7 Representative, Colin Fat, regarding charity events: Subsidies must be applied for in advance of event not after. Perhaps think about doing charities throughout the year vs at year end.
- Directors, please bring all of your 2022 Budgets to be reviewed at next month’s Board meeting.
- There was discussion about the Track Series sponsorship. Jim McClelland has agreed to take on the role of sponsorship coordinator. 2022 sponsors need to be finalized so Track Series T-shirts can be ordered.
Vice-President:
New Club PO Box has been setup.
Chris Hamilton will add the new Club address on website for information.
Secretary:
Approve November Minutes (there was no meeting in December), unanimously APPROVED.
Treasurer:
Current Club finances are healthy and Canyon’s financial reports were approved. Canyon and Scott will suggest improvements to the club financial policy.
Membership Director:
- 3,677 total members, 66 new members, 91 renewals, 40 dropped, 4 more new members since November. All of the new members were accepted unanimously.
- New members receive a welcome letter, a description of all club offerings and how to get started.
Autocross Director:
- Awards Dinner – Event has not been scheduled yet, but Himanshu will take the lead to find a venue. Due to Omicron, will try to find an outdoor venue for safety.
- Working on schedule for 2022, coordinating with 4 different clubs, preliminary schedule to be determined.
- Current AX classification system is becoming obsolete, GGR will be utilizing the Zone 8 classification software.
- 1st Event is March 12-15, Crows Landing, should be a one-day event, please verify date.
Track Director:
Howard shared his proposed budget for a five Driver’s Education and five Club Race season. Dates have been finalized with Thunderhill, Buttonwillow, and Sonoma. Howard will continue and try to secure a date with Laguna Seca.
- March 5-6: Instructor Training / DE 1 – Thunderhill East.
- April 2-3: DE 2 and Club Race 1 – Thunderhill East.
- May 14-15: DE 3 and Club Race 2 – Buttonwillow.
- August 26-27-28: DE 4 and Club Race 3 – Sonoma Raceway.
- Sept. 24-25: DE 5 and Club Race 4 – Thunderhill East.
- October 8-9: Club Race 5 (w/ NASA) – Sonoma Raceway
Track budget was APPROVED without dissent and registration will open on MSR in the next few days.
Motoring Director:
- PCA GGR Motoring events for H1 2022 finalized http://photos.app.goo.gl/381HedebLsEzKkLd9
- Jan 2nd: “Drive and Hike: a New Year Resolution Event!”
- Limited to 12 cars, one group
- Simple setup included:
- Short drive
- Photo session
- Short hike
- Picnic lunch
- Over 20 people attended
- Great feedback and photos! 🙂
- Jan 22nd: Tiger Drive and Social Event!
- Event sold out in 6 min! Had to suspend the registration this morning!)
- 4 car groups
- Due to the huge demand. just added another group, making the total groups to 5! 40 cars, 50 ppl, 50% for lunch
- Even to include:
- Nice drive of 2:30 on twisty roads
- Optional lunch in an Asian hot pot restaurant in honor of the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Tiger! 50% of participants will join for lunch
- Insurance submission next
- Feb 12th: Valentines Touring Drive and Social Event
- Limited to 16 cars, 2 groups
- Even to include:
- Short “romantic” drive
- Photo session
- Wineries visit
- Outdoor lunch (either picnic style or pay as you go)
- To be added to website calendar
Social Director:
No report.
Webmaster:
Discussion about moving from Media Temple to Google business platform for club email accounts, file storage, and video conference. Decision was APPROVED to move forward with Google.
Nugget Editor:
Tues upload to website.
Provide content by Sunday.
Topics for discussion:
Next meeting is scheduled for 2/10.
