Call to Order at 6:11p


  • Comments on insurance escalation process. If late getting ins request, need to get it into the system
  • Monthly Panorama Submission: Laguna photo for next month’s submission, asking for photo ops from all groups
  • #9 in nation in membership


  • COI process seems to be working, but program doesn’t notify, need to email directly


  • July Minutes APPROVED
  • Minutes archive location? Ed to review with Scott, drop box version, requested access to link Howard provided
  • Contact List of all Board members – Melinda to ask Howard


  • July Financial report APPROVED
  • Switch from debit to credit for expenses? Canyon to investigate pros/cons – deferred to next meeting
  • Vote to approve $3k cash advance to Jim for Sonoma DE/CR – APPROVED
  • Share bank statements with Board members to review- Ed to take action

Membership Director:

  • 37 new members since July 6, APPROVED
  • This past month: 110 Renewals, 87 Members dropped or transferred, 105 Up for renewal
  • 148,000+ total members
  • If/when we get a van, In lieu of the trailer, we can park at RWC Porsche
  • Concours Event at RWC Porsche on Sunday August 7: 31 judging, 40 display, 100 for lunch, bigger than previous years

Autocross Director:

  • Autocross #5: Event moved from Cow Palace to Crows Landing due to unforeseen reasons
  • 49 participants in attendance
  • First car on track at 8:15 AM. Event concluded at 2:00 to beat hot temperatures. Never got uncomfortable. Mostly overcast with high around 90 degrees in the afternoon.
  • Trailer issues:

      • Electrical system fixed with new junction box and connector
      • Identified a trailer service facility in Alameda. Will contact them for trailer service – wheel bearing maintenance and hitch ball mechanism replacement.
  • Autocross #6 scheduled at Cow Palace on August 20th. Date moved from 27 August last week. Contract on hand and will return signed copy with insurance certificate next week.
  • Cow Palace not offering any more dates after 20 August event and not confirming any dates for next year.
  • Contacted Castle AFB for 10 September date. Place is leased by TRG, an automotive testing organization. TRG is expanding from one site in Ohio to the second one at Castle AFB. Two pads available – both ample large for autocrossing needs.
  • Ed Hunter has procured dates in advance at Crows Landing for October and November.

Track Director:

Motoring Director:

  • 31 July: Summer Drive

    • Sold out in under 1 minute, 40 cars, 55 members, 30 people on wait list within 30 minutes
    • Budget: Expense $20, Revenue $1,015
  • Upcoming events:

    • 27 August: A Raceway Experience, a Drive and Social Event by PCA GGR, includes the Fun Run and the Lap Parade Tour at Sonoma Raceway
    • 17 September: Wine Harvest Touring Drive and Social event
    • 16 October: Women’s Drive and Social event
    • 31 October: Halloween Drive and Social event
  • Shirts – Sample shirt approved, pre ordering for next event $45/shirt when they register
  • If had more event planners to be able to double up events (Mt Hamilton, Ed to take on Big Sur in the Fall)

Nugget Editor:

  • July issue publishing end of this week
  • Emails coming into the alias offering content (discussion on how to handle) – will decide how to handle from a publishing point of view.
  • Will attend Car Week
  • August publication for early September
  • Renew Constant Contact account – Canyon to put on credit card
