Board of Directors Meeting Minutes
August 1, 2021
Present: Gilbert Bouzeid, Canyon Chan, Kate Efremova, Ed Hunter, Scott Kalkin, Aleksey Kadukin, Jim McClelland, Himanshu Patel, Michael Sherman. Not Present: Chris Hamilton, Howard Yao
Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 3:04 pm.
Call for agenda changes:
There was a motion for Ed Hunter to serve as President to complete the term of John Celona through the end of 2021. This motion was passed unanimously.
There was a motion for Scott Kalkin to serve the remaining Vice President term of Ed Hunter through the end of 2022. This motion was passed unanimously.
There was a motion for Aleksey Kadukin to serve as Nugget Editor through the end of 2022. This motion was passed unanimously
It was agreed that the President will be the primary and the Vice President will be the secondary signatory to the GGR checking account.

The Nugget deadline is coming soon, request all Directors to submit their articles to Ed.
There was discussion about the upcoming Monterey Car Week and the Werks Reunion.
Welcoming Scott to the Board.
Howard was not able to attend the meeting, as there was no cell phone reception at Sequoia National Park. Therefore the approval of Board Meeting Minutes from July 11th and the Special Board Meeting on July 20th will be approved via email at a later date.
Canyon issued the July financial report summary, which was approved unanimously. Club bank balance is healthy.
As of the time of this meeting, PCA GGR has 3,505 members total. A motion to approve all new members was carried unanimously.
Kate is planning an August 28th Cars and Coffee event in Woodside, near Alice’s Restaurant. There will be a 50 car maximum capacity. The C&C will be followed by a flower arrangement workshop.
Next AX event will be on Saturday, August 14 at Sonoma Raceway. The contract is being finalized. Redwood Region will host the AX on Sunday and run the same course in reverse.
There was discussion about updating the car classifications website in coordination with Zone 8. Proposal is coming next month.
July 31st Napa Drive went well with plans to have a backup lead driver for future drives.
There was discussion regarding event pricing and discounts for Drive Volunteers and charity give back.
Next event planned for September 11th to Big Sur. Details and registration will come out soon. There will be training for new lead drivers at this event.
Registration for the final DE/CR event of the year is going well. The Club Race registration will open August 9. Event is at Thunderhill East on September 25-26.

Topics for discussion:
Discussed location of future Board Meetings, either in person or continue with videoconferences. There was general agreement to hold the next Board Meeting on September 10th at a possible alternative location.
