Call to Order at 6:12p
President:
Awards Banquet/Trophies – weekend in June 10/11? Informal event for all, will contact a few places for venue locations.
Vice-President:
Certification for insurance is outstanding for Buttonwillow and Laguna – amount is reduced, Howard to forward information to Scott to complete.
Secretary:
March Minutes APPROVED
Treasurer:
- Monthly financial Statement APPROVED
- Taxes will be filed in the next few weeks
- Financial Policy Update. The following issues are in the process of review by Canyon and Scott:
- Processing and managing annual budgets
- Streamlining check authorization and processing procedures
- Cash advances
- Board oversight of expenditures at monthly meeting
- How to deal with non-budgeted ad hoc expenditures
- Canyon & Scott will continue to review policy and bring to Board for discussion
Membership Director:
Membership update – 41 new members since 10 March.
Autocross Director:
- 5/18 AX at Cow Palace vs Crows Landing, a bigger turnout in conjunction w Lotus Club, 25 GGR/15 from Lotus, GGR to manage, administrating event
- 5/21 AX Cow Palace with LPR
- 5/28 AC School
- 6/25 Cow Palace
- Additional notifications needed – past events oversubscribed, need to notify more with members
Track Director:
- DE2/CR2 @ Thunderhill Report
- Carlson and other sponsorships collected $28k
- Need MOUs in place
- Buttonwillow has typically not been a great draw but will use Thunderhill event to draw registrants to event. And will use Buttonwillow to get people to register for Laguna
- Laguna APPROVED for club race and will be adding advanced DE
- May cancel last Thunderghill event if Buttonwillow and Laguna are not profitable.
- May have option to sublet to NASA and/or Diablo to offset cost for Sonoma
- Next Event: May 14 DE3/CR2 @Buttonwillow
Motoring Director:
- 3/19 Women’s drive to Santa Cruz, 30 participants
- 4/10 Harris Ranch Dr, 60 participants
- 5/14 Rolling shot Sunset Touring, 10 car max
- 5/26-27 Gold Country, 29 participants registered
- June Shasta and Mammoth Lakes events
- July TBD
- Aug 28 coordinate a Sonoma Parade Lap as part of their Tour
- Noted that e-mails not getting to all participants
- Taycan Drive – Redwood City Porsche to donate/offer a lead /pace car – Howard to follow up
- Certification program for sweep or lead driver – working on materials for 10 people
Social Director:
- 5/8 Cars and Coffee
- 5/14 Sunset Touring Drive
- Waiting for others to reply for other future locations
- Budget needs to be established for expenditures
Webmaster:
- WordPress up to date and make calendar current
- Upload track spreadsheet as a Google doc to change participant car numbers
- Numbers are not maintained in MSR
- Different clubs have different numbers
- GGR would like to have permanent numbers
Nugget Editor:
Deadline for TBD, soon, within 2-3 weeks
