Call to Order 6:13pm
President:
- New brand identity for GGR approved by Vu Nguyen (PCA Executive Director)
- Discussion of updates to 2024 Track budget – due to previously unrecognized expenses, we will no longer be making a charitable donation for last year
- Discussion of Sponsorships: we are seeking additional sponsorship
- GGR will only solicit Porsche dealers in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties
- We accept sponsorships from other businesses regardless of location
- Discussion of establishing redundancy across all digital accounts
Vice President:
- Discussion of updated system to accept and track requests for insurance for club events
Secretary:
- Vote to approve January 8, 2025 minutes: APPROVED
- Updated Board Directory will be published internally
Treasurer:
- We only held one event in January (our holiday celebration), so no material updates besides the previously-discussed revision to 2024 numbers
Autocross Director:
- Porsche Redwood City has agreed to sponsor our Autocross series this year (as they have in the past), including additional support towards our new trailer
- Securing insurance for planned events
- Working with Creative on branding/graphics needs: tee-shirt for Car Control Clinic and graphics for new trailer
- Want to increase participation of women: seeking feedback from existing female participants and considering more targeted, female-focused materials
Track Director:
- Working on revisions to the Track budget for 2025 based on some event date updates
- Pursuing additional sponsorships for the Track program
- Track Instructors Party will be held soon, at a Sim Racing manufacturers office
Motoring Director:
- Lead/Sweep Workshop was held at Airborne Exotic Car Club in Petaluma to train members for these positions
- First event, Valentine’s Fun Run on Feb 8, is sold out
Social Director:
- Instagram engagement of @pcaggr has increased significantly over the last month
- First Cars & Coffee held Jan 26 at CAFÉ KAZKA in Foster City – attendees overwhelmed the capacity of the coffee shop, with ~150 cars!
- Seeking a venue for February Cars & Coffee
- Next confirmed event will be “Cars & Cupcakes” Cupcakes Decorating with Connie on March 9 at Porsche Redwood City
- March Cars & Coffee will be held at SF Sportscars on March 29
- Planning “Roller” photo shot event pending insurance requirements
Membership Director:
- February 1, 2025 member counts
- PCA GGR
- 3809 total (2669 primary members, 1137 co-members, 3 honorary)
- 152 PCA Juniors, 129 renewals, 48 dropped, 80 new members
- PCA National: 163,605 active members (107,577 primary & 56,028 co-members)
- PCA GGR
- Vote to accept new members: APPROVED
- Discussion of new logo usage across stickers/decals, clothing, gifts, flyers, etc.
- Planning GGR’s 65th anniversary event this summer
Webmaster:
- Have located archive of old Nugget issues
Nugget Editor:
- Submission deadline for this month’s newsletter is Feb 17
