Gettin’ Social: 3000 Followers and 200 Cars at Cars & Coffee

Dear GGR Members,

It’s been a great start of the year so far, and it’s been wonderful seeing so many of you at our recent social events. In February, we held a relaxing late-morning cars and coffee with Auto Vino. The turnout was nothing short of spectacular, with approximately 190 cars! Check out the gallery by George Komoto here, as well as many creator highlights on Instagram. Aside from seeing our community in full force, we also celebrated our Instagram account reaching 3K followers! Thank you all for your continued support in person and online.

For the International Women’s Day we wanted to give the women in our club an opportunity to get together, with sweet treats, flowers, and a little bit of racing inspiration thrown in the mix. Luckily, our 2024 Enthusiast of the Year and Autocross Class Winner, Connie Lu, is also an extraordinary baker and the owner of Connie’s Cakerie. The cupcake decorating workshop she held was a huge success. We enjoyed an educational autocross talk by Connie, creative confections, a flower arrangement raffle by Parker Design (another incredible business owner and Porsche enthusiast Jamie Parker), and wonderful hosting by Porsche Redwood City, PCA-GGR autocross sponsor. We are looking forward to repeating this event in the Fall.

Porsches and Cupcakes event: Connie teaching cupcake decorating techniques at Porsche Redwood City; our lucky raffle winner Jessica with her Parker Design flower arrangement; Cupcake decorating in progress; Final masterpieces – with custom edible Porsche shield created by Connie’s Cakerie.

March and April will be full of activity, with the next Cars and Coffee at San Francisco Sports Cars on March 29th (Saturday). We also have a very special tri-region Cars and Coffee event in Fremont on April 6th, planned by Loma Prieta Region, with Diablo and GGR members cordially invited to attend. More information coming shortly for this one. We are still deciding on how to proceed with the later April events. The end of the month is busy with HPDE and Autocross clinics, not to mention a well known Air | Water gathering in Southern California. We might add a smaller event late to mid April, or push our next C&C to May – stay tuned for the updates in your inbox and at @pcaggr.
