Upcoming Events:
We’re about to kick off the 2025 season with the announcement on February 17th of our first event – PCA-GGR AX1 – at Crows Landing NAS on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Registration will open on Friday, February 21st on MotorsportReg.com, www.motorsportreg.com For enthusiasts wanting to make a weekend of it PCA-LPR will host its first autocross of the season on Sunday March 16th.
Our second event of the season will be at Salinas Municipal Airport on Sunday, April 13, 2025, and will be announced several weeks in advance. Note that PCA-LPR will host its second event on that same weekend on Saturday, April 12, 2025, in case you want to run on both days.
We’ll likely announce the Novice and Advanced Car Control Clinics to be held at the Alameda Point NAS on April 26th and 27th respectively well in advance of the event to get the word out to prospective novice drivers, and to help ensure we have experienced coaches participating to make the event a success. As was true last year, PCA-GGR and our event partner Golden Gate Lotus Club (GGLC) anticipate strong interest and participation in the car control clinics in 2025.
Early Stages of Planning for a New Autocross Trailer:
At the monthly board meeting on February 5th, the PCA-GGR Board approved our tentative plan to acquire and outfit a new PCA-GGR Autocross Trailer during the 2025 season. We are considering taking a similar approach to what PCA-LPR did to secure and outfit their new trailer last season. A new PCA-GGR trailer will be most welcome as our existing trailer, while usable, is showing its wear and tear. Notable here is that following a meeting with several PCA-GGR Board members, Porsche Redwood City remains a committed sponsor of the PCA-GGR Autocross Series and will provide additional one-time funding to help cover the cost of our new trailer.
