PCA-GGR Autocross Enthusiasts,
We’re anticipating another exciting and fun autocross season in 2025 with a schedule of nine competitive events (four at Crows Landing NAS, plus five at Salinas Municipal Airport) on shared weekends with our sister PCA-LPR Region. In addition, we’ll run novice and advanced car control clinics (at Alameda NAS) as in 2024, in collaboration with the Golden Gate Region Lotus Club.

In taking on the PCA-GGR Autocross Director role for the 2025-2026 seasons, I’ve continued to work with and learn from Himanshu Patel, whom we all know leaves very ‘big shoes’ to fill!
Our PCA-GGR members are appreciative and grateful for the outstanding contributions of Himanshu Patel as PCA-GGR Autocross Director for the last 4+ years. Since taking the reins from Ed Hunter in 2020, Himanshu has worked tirelessly in service to the club to ensure that autocross events are competitive, safe, fair and fun, and built on an expanding solid foundation of comradery among the many participants who also serve as volunteers to make each event a success. The club has greatly benefitted from Himanshu’s passionate leadership and coordination at our events, his many relationship building, technical and organizational contributions on the front lines and behind-the-scenes, and the smooth transition to a new director for the 2025-’26 seasons.
Thank you, Himanshu!
In anticipation of the 2025 season, we all know that it takes a village of collaborators behind the scenes and on the front lines on the day of to make our autocross events as much of a success as possible. I’ll be counting on you to participate generously to help wherever and whenever you can!
All the best for 2025,
Steve Forshay
