I am organizing a private tour of the Military Vehicle Technology Foundation in Portola Valley for the GG PCA.

Before his death, Jacques Littlefield assembled the largest private tank collection in the world. We will explore the active restoration shop, and tour the collection of restored vehicles that date from WWI to the 1980’s. Vehicles range from a motorcycle to a mobile scud missile launcher, with lots of tanks. We will get to see the completed Panther tank that was featured on the show Tank Overhaul on the Military and Discovery channels. If you've seen the show, you will recognize our tour guide who is one of the restoration specialists. As such, our tour will be more technical in nature which should appeal to us gearheads. Space for the tour is limited to 30 people so e-mail me (kpl@kevinlaird.com) to reserve a spot, get directions, or ask any questions. There is a suggested donation of $20 per person to the Foundation. They are a 501c3 organization so the donations are tax deductible, and a receipt will be provided. Expect the tour to last about 2 hours. For some videos of some of their projects coming together, look up user “caddydave” on youtube.
