GGR 50th Anniversary Celebration: The Presidents’ Dinner

As part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of GGR's founding, in 2010 the club held a black-tie event at the historic City Club of San Francisco, on the top floor of the Pacific Stock Exchange building. The evening kicked off with a cocktail reception and appetizers including a signature cocktail created for the event ("The Turbo Carrera) and photos in front of the historic Diego Rivera mural. Raffle tickets for a 2-day course at the Porsche Sport Driving school (donated by Porsche Cars North America) benefitted the Homeless Connection for Veterans, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the Peninsula SPCA. Then followed a gourmet dinner and program featuring presentation of PCA historical documents, keynote speaker Charlie Burton of Carlsen Porsche, a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the launch of the Nugget online archive, and presentation of the Presidents' Awards honoring eight presidents of GGR in attendance. Finally, the evening concluded with dessert and an "All That Jazz" floor show of Bob Fosse favorites performed by the Foothill Repertory Dance company choreographed and directed by award-winning Bubba Gong. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Hope you enjoy these photo memories of it!
