Fun Run to Mendocino

Even with a half-day of rain in early April, GGR had a very successful 3-day Fun Run to one of the most picturesque parts of America, the Mendocino coast.  This year we started in Sausalito and in soggy weather found our way to the quaint town of Healdsburg for a quick lunch, followed by a nice twisty drive to Penny Royal Farms, a charming winery/creamery.

Participants were greeted with an exquisite, farm-fresh cheese and wine spread on a back patio overlooking the Anderson Valley.  In the evening the team was greeted at Little River Inn (Mendocino) and after a quick check-in, we had the exclusive use of the entire ocean-viewing bar and restaurant for a farm-to-table super fresh dinner.  This was a great opportunity for old friends to catch up, while making some new ones as well.

On Saturday, we set out on a spirited 125-mile drive through some quite amazing backroads and terrific mountain scenery. This was capped-off by another winery visit and the fun continued for the next day. This trip gets better every time we run it! We’re sure to repeat this over-sold event next year!
