Forget 2020 – it’s Time for GGR Elections and We Want You!
While the gears are starting to turn for everything involved in the 2020 Presidential election, coming around much sooner are the yearly elections for the Golden Gate Region PCA Board of Directors. I can say with a fair amount of confidence that volunteering for the GGR Board is much lower stress than politics too…
While we are always on the lookout for volunteers to help run events throughout the year, if you are passionate about the club and would like to spend a little bit of time each month helping to operate one of the largest single-marque car club regions in the US, we’d love to hear from you.
Up for election this year are the following positions:
- Track Director
- Webmaster / Social Media
Some board directors are seeking re-election, but in particular we are in need of a volunteer to help with our website and social media presence. Our current webmaster is nearing completion of a total redesign of our website, and we need someone to pick up where she’s leaving off at the end of her term to supercharge our online connections to our members.
Each year, the GGR board assembles a nomination committee made up of board members who’s positions aren’t up for election, with the goal of taking feedback from the board and our membership and assembling a list of board-endorsed candidates for the slate. Thank you to Bryan Phan, Ed Hunter, and Mike Sherman for taking this on this year. The committee will finalize their recommendations in the coming weeks ahead of our September board meeting, with the election ballot coming out in October.
If you are interested in volunteering for the GGR Board of Directors, please email me at email@example.com and I will connect you with the nomination committee.
