Charity Run through Marin Headlands!

Array of 40 Porsches in front of Marin French Cheese Factory!

Golden Gate Region capped off an amazing array of motoring events for 2019 with a charity event to benefit the families of children battling cancer by providing them temporary housing while caring for their little heroes at UCSF cancer center.

For this worthy cause, there were  no shortage of interested GGR members but we were forced to take only 40 Porsches (60 attendees!) for an energetic run on a misty day through some of the most picturesque scenery our Marin headlands have to offer.  Our pit stop was one of the famous creameries in Marin (Marin French Cheese Company) which afforded all participants great cheese tasting opportunity while enjoying the view of their beautifully arranged cars with a card-postal-like scenic backdrop!  We then headed back toward HWY 1 on our way to scrumptious south of the border family style feast in downtown Mill Valley.

It was then time for friends (old and new) to wish happy holidays to each other and get ready for the first event of 2020 on January 26th.

On behalf of the entire Motoring team volunteers, I wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2020.

Director of Motoring Events, PCA/GGR
